The seek for a lacking lady in Nanaimo has come to a tragic finish.

Mounties say the physique of 48-year-old Nancy Gagne was situated within the Millstone River in Bowen Park on Thursday.

Gagne was first reported lacking on Feb. 1, prompting a big, multi-day search which included RCMP, Nanaimo Search and Rescue (NSAR) and the West Coast Marine Providers.

Police say a staff with NSAR took the lead on recovering her physique from the river Thursday, with help from police and native firefighters. Her tattoos have been then used to assist establish her.

The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is constant its personal investigation into Gagne’s dying, police say.
