A CHEK Information viewer emailed stating there was an oil spill on the Salish Raven, which BC Ferries confirmed Friday.
“Defending the setting that we function in is of utmost significance to BC Ferries. We did expertise a difficulty with the Salish Raven yesterday the place oil leaked onto the automotive deck,” an electronic mail assertion from Deborah Marshall, government director of public affairs for BC Ferries, mentioned.
“It was contained to the automotive deck and didn’t leak into the ocean. Regardless, we reported the incident to EMCR, as per our protocols.”
The spill was from ferry tools on the automotive deck.
The sailings had been cancelled whereas the spill was cleaned, and the Salish Heron and Salish Eagle had been capable of accommodate the additional visitors.
