The mayor of a small Quebec city about 95 kilometres northeast of Montreal says a wild turkey that for weeks sowed terror amongst his residents was killed this morning by a person armed with a slingshot.
The turkey’s dying adopted Louiseville Mayor Yvon Deshaies’ public name this week for somebody to take down the aggressive fowl, which he says attacked a person in a wheelchair and led households to concern bringing their children to high school.
Deshaies says he issued the decision after an attraction for assist from provincial wildlife safety officers did not spur motion.
