The South Island is seeing the outdated saying of “in like a lion, out like a lamb” coming true with a dump of snow Monday afternoon.

Monday afternoon CHEK viewers reported seeing hail, adopted by snow within the West Shore and Saanich.

The morning began off with solar, then the afternoon cloudy skies took over.

Armel Castellan, meteorologist with Setting Canada, says the burst of winter climate was focused on Victoria and the West Shore.

The snow got here simply hours after Victoria kicked off its annual flower rely, which began as a strategy to spotlight the gentle climate usually skilled within the area.
