The West Shore RCMP say there isn’t a menace to the general public after they raided a motorbike membership in Langford on Wednesday, in addition to a number of different properties.

Mounties say they executed a number of search warrants on Jan. 31, alongside the provincial gang unit, the Mixed Forces Particular Enforcement Unit BC, as a part of a drug trafficking investigation.

One property police searched was the Savages clubhouse alongside Spencer Street in Langford.

Police have beforehand dubbed the Savages MC a “puppet club” for the Hells Angels in Nanaimo.

The West Shore RCMP detachment says it’s conscious that there’s “media and public curiosity” within the investigation and up to date raid, however that data remains to be being sorted.
