Surroundings Canada has issued a fog advisory for East Vancouver Island on Saturday.

The climate workplace warns that “close to zero visibility” could happen within the dense fog, which is smothering East Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast and the Southern Gulf Islands.

The fog is predicted to linger Saturday night earlier than lifting in a single day.

“A comparatively heat airmass and melting snow are producing circumstances beneficial for dense fog,” stated the climate workplace.

“The fog is forecast to raise in a single day as rain strikes into the realm. Visibility could stay poor in rain however isn’t anticipated to satisfy fog advisory standards,” stated Surroundings Canada.

The advisory comes at some point after Surroundings Canada lifted its snow and freezing rain warnings for many elements of Vancouver Island.
