After a LATAM Airlines flight threw passengers to the ceiling of a Boeing 787 and injured 50 when a pilot unexpectedly slammed ahead into their controls in Monday, The Wall Road Journal is reporting that the plane manufacturer sent a memo to other 787 pilots to verify their seats are safe earlier than taking off.
“Closing the spring-loaded seat again change guard onto a unfastened/indifferent rocker change cap can probably jam the rocker change, leading to unintended seat motion,” the memo says, in response to The Journal.
Boeing didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
This can be a growing story and will probably be up to date.
