Police within the West Shore say an alleged impaired driver has a date in courtroom after crashing a pickup truck into a light-weight pole in Langford.

Round 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, Mounties obtained “a number of experiences” of the motive force of a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck driving “erratically” close to Florence Lake Highway, in accordance with West Shore RCMP in a news release Monday.

“Inside minutes of the preliminary calls to police, the motive force had collided with a light-weight pole close to the 3000 block of Leigh Highway,” stated police.

Officers responded to the scene, the place the motive force, a 29-year-old man, was suspected of being impaired by medicine and was arrested for harmful operation and impaired driving of a motorized vehicle.

“He was launched by means of an Enterprise with an upcoming courtroom date relating to harmful and impaired driving in addition to a 90-day driving prohibition,” added police.

The motive force was the only occupant of the automobile, famous RCMP. They are saying he suffered non-life-threatening accidents and obtained medical care.
