After a lady in Courtenay discovered a capsule inside a birthday cake pop, Starbucks has pulled the merchandise from Canadian cabinets.

The incident was reported to police round 11:30 a.m. Feb. 1, after the cake pop was bought from a Courtenay Starbucks earlier that morning, says Comox Valley RCMP Const. Monika Terragni in an announcement to CHEK Information.

The lady who made the acquisition took to Fb after she noticed the blue and crimson capsule contained in the dessert, which is cake styled as a lollipop.

The lady mentioned her five-year-old son took a giant chunk and mentioned it tasted “humorous.” Then he mentioned he didn’t need to eat it anymore.

A spokesperson from Starbucks Canada tells CHEK Information the corporate is conscious of the incident and is actively investigating along with its provider.

They are saying some cake pops have been pulled from cabinets countrywide.
