Emergency responders have been referred to as to the 4700-block of Cordova Bay Street in Saanich after the motive force of a pickup truck collided with an influence pole, snapping it in half.
A witness captured images and advised CHEK Information that police, firefighters, and paramedics have been on scene round 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14.
The witness says the motive force of the truck “slammed into an influence ballot, snapping it in half,” including, “Unsure about accidents or reason behind the incident.”
Simply after 10 a.m., the witness stated the stretch of Cordova Bay Street was closed to visitors, with “no phrase on how lengthy the street might be closed.”
A CHEK Information crew on scene round 10:50 a.m. stated the street had reopened.
Following the collision, BC Hydro reported a small outage within the space.
It stated seven prospects within the 4700-block of Cordova Bay Street and 1100-block of Timber Lane have been with out energy because of a motorcar accident. In keeping with its outage checklist, the ability went out at 10:06 a.m., and a hydro crew was on-site.
The outage was later removed from the list round 10:30 a.m.
