The District of Oak Bay is searching for a venture lead to assist decide the way forward for the Turkey Head (Spewhung) web site, which incorporates the Oak Bay Marina property.

“The marina restaurant constructing is presently vacant and now not being leased by OBMG,” stated the district in a release Wednesday.
“Use of the location past 2027 has not but been decided, nor has a call been reached concerning future use of the vacant restaurant.”
Oak Bay Mayor Kevin Murdoch says he seems to be ahead to the creation of a long-term plan for the marina web site, and says {that a} venture lead will assist make that occur.
“This venture lead will assist advance the technical work whereas facilitating Council, District Employees, First Nation companions, and our group in exploring the way forward for the location that aligns with group aims,” he stated in a launch Wednesday.
