British Columbia’s built-in murder investigation staff says a person in Abbotsford, B.C., has been charged with homicide within the dying of his spouse.

IHIT says in a information launch that officers from the Abbotsford Police Division responded to a report of an assault at a house within the metropolis on Friday night time.

They arrived to discover a lady, who has now been recognized as 41-year-old Balwinder Kaur, affected by life-threatening stab wounds inside the house.

Abbotsford police confirmed Saturday that Kaur died of her accidents a short while later and IHIT took over the investigation.

Kaur’s husband, 50-year-old Jagpreet Singh, was arrested on the scene and IHIT says he has now been charged with second-degree homicide.

The murder staff says it’s working in tandem with Abbotsford police and the BC Coroners Service on the case.
