A loggerhead sea turtle hardly ever seen in British Columbia waters has been rescued after being discovered affected by hypothermia close to Victoria.
The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society says the reptile nicknamed Moira by workers had a core temperature of solely 8.4 C after being discovered on Sunday in Pedder Bay between Victoria and Sooke.
The society says native marine biologist Anna Corridor was the primary to reply and performed an important position within the rescue.
