Arsenal star Declan Rice has been topped Participant of the Yr on the London Soccer Awards with Chelsea’s Cole Palmer named Younger Participant of the Yr.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta missed out on the Supervisor of the Yr award to Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou and it was a double scoop for Spurs as Guglielmo Vicario was named Goalkeeper of the Yr.

In the meantime, Chelsea duo Lauren James and Aggie Beever-Jones have been topped WSL Participant of the Yr and Ladies’s Younger Participant of the Yr respectively.

Arsenal’s £105m summer season signing Rice gave an emotional speech at The Roundhouse in Camden after choosing up the highest award within the males’s sport.

‘Since I’ve walked by way of the doorways (at Arsenal) I’ve cherished each single second of it,’ Rice stated.

‘I used to be at West Ham for 10 years and it’s such an enormous change with the setting, life, a distinct supervisor and completely different pals, so my considering was simply to go there and be myself.

‘As time has gone on and the video games have gone on I’ve tried to be assured and do the very best I can for the group.

‘Thus far we’ve been going very well and hopefully we are able to have a superb finish to the season.

‘There have been so many good moments thus far, however I feel because of the stature of the sport I must say the objective in opposition to Manchester United was the very best.

‘It was my first objective for Arsenal – Alejandro Garnacho had one dominated out for offside 5 minutes earlier than after which I took one down off my chin and put it behind the online so I used to be pleased with that one. That was the very best second thus far.’
